What are my payment options?



Meridian Energy has a range of options to make it easy for you to pay your electricity bill.

 

Direct debit


Direct debit is the easiest way to pay your account as you pay the total amount of your invoice automatically each month.  It provides you with the reassurance and convenience of knowing that your bill will always be paid on the due date, and you'll always receive your prompt payment discount.

LevelPay®

 

LevelPay® means you know exactly how much you pay for your electricity throughout the year.


We look at how much electricity you use over a year and calculate a regular set payment amount for the coming 12 months. You can pay weekly, fortnightly, monthly - whichever suits you.

Internet/phone banking


You can pay your bill using internet banking or with a touch tone phone.  Please contact your bank directly to set this up.

 

Paying in person

 

You can pay your bills in person at any NZ Post shop throughout the country.


By cheque


Our bills are sent to you in a reusable envelope, so that you can mail your cheque back to us free of charge, and reduce paper waste.

 

Credit card

 

Did you know you can use your credit card to pay your electricity bill?

 

If you have a Visa or Mastercard, we can set up a recurring monthly payment for you. First we'll need to check if this payment option is available for your Meridian plan and/or package, so please call us.

Once we've confirmed its okay, just download this Credit Card Form, complete it and send it back to us. We'll be in touch again once it's set up and activated.
