It means you always know what rate you're paying for your electricity. It can help provide some price certainty and can make budgeting easier. |
You’ll receive an increased prompt payment discount of 12%.
- Direct debit (variable) payment only
Direct debit is a convenient way of paying your bill on the date it’s due. You will always receive your prompt payment discount because your payment is made on time (as long as there are sufficient funds in your account).
- Receive your bills by email or view them online
The Really Simple Pack has no paper bills so you will receive your bills by email.
Sign up with MyMeridian and view it online at www.mymeridian.co.nz. You can do all the stuff you’d expect, like check your account and enter a meter reading. What makes it really great are the tips to help you reduce your energy use.
We can TXT and/or email you to let you know when your payment is due.

Do I receive a prompt payment discount with The Really Simple Pack?
Yes – if you pay your bill in full and by the due date, you’ll receive an increased prompt payment discount of 12% (our standard prompt payment discount is 10% for residential customers).
Can I receive a paper copy of my bill?
No. Your bill is sent to you electronically by email. You can sign up with MyMeridian and view it online at www.mymeridian.co.nz. If you’d like to receive a paper copy of your bill, please call our Customer Service team on 0800 496 496 to discuss other Pack options.
How can I pay my electricity bill?
The only payment option available for The Really Simple Pack is by direct debit (variable). If you’d like to pay your electricity bill using another payment method, please call our Customer Service Team on 0800 496 496 to discuss other Pack options.
Is it possible for my Fixed Rate Plan to change throughout the duration of the plan?
The rate you lock in for your electricity will not change during the term of your Fixed Rate Plan. The Electricity Commission Levy, an additional charge that forms a small part of the bill, is subject to change. Please refer to our Terms and Conditions
What if I have more than one site?
The Really Simple Pack will apply to all sites under the same customer account.
Can I be a LevelPay® customer with The Really Simple Pack?
No. The Really Simple Pack does not offer the LevelPay® payment option.
What happens if I move premises/location?
No problem, you can continue The Really Simple Pack for the remainder of its specified term in the new area you move to, so long as you remain a Meridian residential customer, and providing there is an equivalent The Really Simple Pack in the new area you move to.
What is the duration of The Really Simple Pack?
As long as you remain a Meridian residential customer and Meridian still offers the Pack, you can still choose The Really Simple Pack for the duration of the term offered.
What happens when The Really Simple Pack ends or is no longer available or changes?
Meridian will communicate the available options to you before your term ends.
