Meridian topped the charts of the big power companies for customer service in the Best in Service survey by TV1’s consumer watchdog programme FairGo.

Conducted in conjunction with research company Colmar Brunton, the survey of 1839 power customers placed Meridian ahead of all the big power companies and second only to its own subsidiary Powershop.

Bill Highet, Meridian General Manager for Retail, says, “We are thrilled to be able to hold this position and thanks to our customers who voted. Our sights are set much higher but the Fair Go programme indicates a step in the right direction.”

Dick Brunton, co-founder and Executive Chairman of Colmar Brunton believes that their research skills, coupled with Fair Go’s excellent reporting, create a powerful partnership to improve New Zealanders’ customer experiences: “Fair Go and Colmar Brunton have decided to take a more constructive approach and identify those organisations that are doing the right thing by Kiwis.”
