CRT

CRT Co-operative exists for one simple reason – to use the collective power of its shareholders to negotiate better deals and improve their individual profitability across all forms of agriculture.

The co-operative has a significant presence in the rural market with more than 25,000 shareholders who transact over $1 billion worth of business through the co-operative annually.

CRT Card

The CRT card is a key part of the company's core business. It offers EFTPOS convenience and PIN security and is accepted at more than 4000 retail stores nationwide. Most of these retailers offer rebates on card transactions. It also incorporates a Caltex StarCard and BP Fuel Card as well as a Challenge purchasing rebate.

Products and services

Nearly 30 percent of CRT's 500 staff are active in the field with farmers, including 60 technical field officers providing product advice and specialist service. CRT is active in almost all areas shareholders need to run their farming operations.

  • Farm supplies – there are 31 CRT FarmCentres throughout the South Island stocking a full range of farm inputs.
  • Grain and seed – CRT is the independent seed supplier to shareholders throughout the South Island.
  • Feed – the co-operative has developed a substantial business in animal nutrition manufacturing and distribution.
  • Fuel – CRT operates nationally distributing bulk fuels on-farm and to commercial customers, and is also involved in fuel storage solutions. Its distinctive green tankers also deliver to ninety Challenge petrol stations throughout New Zealand.
  • Lubricants – CRT's wholly owned subsidiary ANZPAC Oils Ltd is the exclusive distributor of high quality Gulf lubricants in New Zealand, Australia and the Pacific Islands.
  • Fertiliser – CRT can also supply all fertiliser needs through our strong relationship with Ballance.
  • Livestock – shareholders have the choice of using a CRT livestock representative for stock transactions whether they be sheep, beef, dairy stock or deer.
  • Real estate - CRT Real Estate has national and international connections to facilitate the best results buying and selling property. The co-operative is active in rural, residential and lifestyle markets.
  • Finance – CRT Creditline offers a preferential rate of interest on which a rebate is paid – another unique aspect of being part of a co-operative. Term loans for large purchases can also be arranged and hire purchase is available through CRT HP.

This special deal includes an increased prompt payment discount of 12 percent (our standard discount is 10 percent) and a choice of variable or fixed term plans. We'll also work with you to help find ways to reduce your electricity overheads.
