Tariff may be a Fixed Rate or Non Fixed Rate Plan.
The customer is entitled to a prompt payment discount of 10% provided their bill is paid in full by the due date.
The Heaps of Choice Pack permits customers to select electronic, and/or non electronic media as their option.
Bills are available online by email (PDF).
Customers choosing to receive a paper bill delivered by post will incur a fee of $1.00 including GST per tax invoice.
Payment over the counter at a NZ Post or Westpac Branch, or by sending a cheque to us, will incur a fee of $1.50 including GST per payment (of each tax invoice paid).
Payment by electronic means, i.e. direct debit, internet or phone banking, or recurring credit card will not incur any additional fee.
Any "one off" payments by credit card will incur a fee of 3% per transaction.
The following sets out the General Terms and Conditions associated with the acceptance and use of the residential Packs.
These terms and conditions apply in addition to, and should be read together with, Meridian’s existing Standard Customer Terms and Conditions. Meridian’s website contains copies of all terms and conditions at www.meridian.co.nz.
In choosing a Pack the customer agrees to behave in accordance with the rules for that Pack (specifically bill delivery options and bill payment method).
Meridian reserves the rights to review customer adherence to chosen Pack rules and apply fees.
Electronic communications – Meridian will undertake reasonable endeavours to deliver all communications electronically where this is a selected feature of a Pack. Meridian reserves the right to support or substitute electronic communications with paper options where it deems necessary.
When a customer selects a Pack or option to receive their bill by email (PDF), the customer undertakes to keep Meridian updated with a valid email address.
This offer is not available to any customer with a Prepay meter/plan.
Rewards offered in any Pack are subject to change. Meridian is not liable for the performance of any additional product given away or supplied as part of a Pack (e.g. magazine subscription).
Any reward provided as part of a Pack is not redeemable for cash and cannot be exchanged or transferred and only one reward will be provided per customer account.
Customers are not eligible for any reward if moving from one Pack to another.
