The measurements are shown in metres above sea level. The normal operating range for Lake Pukaki (also known as the main operating range) is between 532.0 and 518.2 metres above sea level depending on the time of year. Operation outside this range is allowable in compliance with the duration and return periods set out in the lake operating rules.
