If you’ve received an estimated bill, please send us the new reading within 5 business days. As long as we receive the new reading within seven business days of the date of the bill, we’ll send you an amended bill for the actual power you’ve used.
Read all of them, and send us all the readings at once.
You can take your own meter readings instead of getting estimated bills. To find out when to send us your actual reading, please contact us.
If the meter reader can’t access your meter, they’ll leave you a ‘no access’ card. Send it back with your readings, or use one of the methods below.
If you get a higher-than-expected estimated bill, please check your own meter reading. When we estimate your bill, we look at your previous electricity use and seasonal variations. Please send us a reading so we can provide an accurate, up-to-date bill, and help you monitor how much electricity you’re actually using. If we receive the new reading within seven business days of the date of the bill, we’ll send you an amended bill for the actual power you’ve used.
Whichever option you use to send your reading, please remember to include its date and your account number. If you have more than one meter, make sure you send us readings for all meters at once.
