Nanogirl and her team are on a global mission to bring to life Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) for kids. Supporting the growth and engagement of STEM in our young people is incredibly important to Meridian, we’re proud to be helping power up the next generation.
The ‘Out of this World’ tour is led by Dr Michelle Dickinson (Nanogirl) will delight children and adults alike with rocket jet-packs, stunts, explosions and a real tornado – all live on stage.
Guy Waipara, Meridian GM Generation & Natural Resources said, “Engineering is a big part of who we are at Meridian.”
“Whether it be maintaining a generator atop a 70m tall wind turbine or keeping a close eye on the dams at one of our seven hydro stations, we rely on our awesome team of engineers to help generate renewable energy to power New Zealand homes.”
‘Out Of This World’ starts in Christchurch on the 17th November and travel around the country, with the last show date in Wellington on the 15th December.
Under the mission of ‘Science for Everyone’, the Nanogirl Lab team will also visit schools all over New Zealand and ticket purchasers can choose to ‘pay-it-forward’, gifting a life-changing experience to kids in their community.
“We’re excited to be supporting Nanogirl’s upcoming tour and helping nurture the next generation of engineers and smart kiwi minds.” said Waipara.
