False Fault Investigation Fee

Weekdays: $55  (8am–5pm, Monday to Friday)

After Hours: $130 (Outside 8am–5pm, Monday to Friday)

Includes prepay meters.

Vacant Property Management Fee

Covers management and disconnection of electricity for unoccupied premises.

Non-Payment Disconnection Fee

If payment has not been made by final agreed date.

Disconnection – Temporary and Permanent

For each visit, where disconnection is due to a reason other than non-payment or vacant property management.

Meter Reading Visit

For special and non-scheduled meter reading visits only.

For customers with a non-smart meter who require a final read due to switching away from Meridian a $25 fee will apply

Meter Test

Fee only applies if the meter test establishes no equipment failure. Includes prepay meters.

*Meter Change or Removal

Where a meter needs to be changed or removed. Includes prepay meters and upgrade of temporary supply to permanent supply.

Administration

Copies of Account

Extended Credit

Credit extension from the due date of your last bill to an agreed date.

Credit Letter

$5 for each letter written for an overdue account.

Meridian Prepay Replacement Card

$10 for every replacement card issued.

The above fees replace all previously notified or published fees. Service fees include GST. The provision of all services, service fees and their descriptions, are subject to Meridian Energy Limited’s published Standard Terms and Conditions for the Supply of Electricity which shall take precedence at all times.
