You can change the date of your payment using our payment-date form.
Yes, you can choose any day of the month as your preferred payment date, with just a few exceptions. If you choose the 29th, 30th, or 31st, your payment date may fall on the first day of the following month during “short months” (i.e., months that are 30 days or less).
Also, for customers who choose a date between the 1st and 14th as their preferred payment date, your payment date may be extended by a few days in months following short months (this is due to requirements of our billing system).
Your payment will automatically default to the next business day.
You will only be eligible for Pick Your Own Payment Date once you have paid any outstanding debts and signed up to direct debit or recurring credit-card payments.
If you have a bill that’s due within 14 days of your new selected payment date, your next bill will not be sent until the following month, when your new payment date will start. This bill will be for a longer period than usual so it may be higher than your standard bill.
If you have a current bill with a due date that’s more than 14 days after your new selected payment date, then you will receive your next bill in time for the next scheduled payment date.
Once you contact us to let us know about your change in preferences, we’ll switch you back to being billed as normal (that is, after your meter is read, not on a date you select).
There will be no change to your current PPD arrangements. You will receive your PPD if you pay your balance in full by the due date.
Yes, your bill will continue to be sent 14 days before the due date. The due date will now be the date you selected as your preferred payment date.
You can change the date of your bill again using our online form, or contact us and we’ll switch you back to being billed as per normal (that is, you’ll be billed after your meter is read, not on a date you select).
