Earlier this month we were required to take Manapōuri Unit 6 (125MW) out of service for six months due to issues with the transformer. When this decision was made, Meridian also noted that it was going to undertake a physical inspection of Manapōuri Unit 1 as it had previously shown similar signs to Unit 6.
Meridian can now confirm that after investigation, Manapōuri Unit 1 (125MW) has been returned to service.
