1. The competition is open to anyone that meets the eligibility criteria set out below and comments on Meridian's Facebook “Adopt a Kākāpō” social post from Wednesday 29 November to midnight Sunday 10 December 2023.
The Prize:
2. There is one silver Kākāpō adoption pack to giveaway. The adoption pack contains one printed personalised certificate, one medium kākāpō soft toy, three stickers and three bookmarks.
3. If any part of the prize is unavailable, Meridian may reserve the right to substitute the prize (or that part of prize) with a prize which Meridian considers to be of equal value and/or specification.
Eligibility:
4. You are only eligible to enter the competition once on Facebook.
5. Each entry will need to be completed via social media on Meridian’s Facebook post. No other forms of entry will be considered.
6. By entering this competition, you agree to these terms and conditions.
7. The competition is open to any person who is (both at the time of entry and at the time the Entry they have submitted is judged) resident in New Zealand
The draw:
8. The winner will be randomly selected from all the comments received on Meridian’s Facebook post between Wednesday 29 November and midnight Sunday 10 December 2023 and the winner will be notified on or before Friday 15 December 2023, at which time the name you’d like on the adoption certificate, your preferred kākāpō to adopt and postal address will be confirmed.
9. Meridian will attempt to contact the winner by private message or comment viaFacebook. If contact is not made by the winner within 24 hours of Meridian’s private message to the winner, the prize will be deemed to have been forfeited and a redraw will take place.
10. The prize is not transferable, exchangeable, cannot be used in conjunction with any other special offer and cannot be taken as cash. Unused portions of the prize cannot be refunded, exchanged or redeemed for cash.
11. Meridian and the judge’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
12. Meridian reserves the right to use the prize winner’s name and photographs/video footage for publicity purposes without payment or other compensation.
13. Employees of Meridian, their agents and immediate family members are not eligible to enter the prize draw.
14. Meridian, its employees and agents, will not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.
15. Meridian reserves the right to extend, cancel or amend the offer at any time without notice to you. Meridian may also vary this offer at any time by posting revised terms and conditions on our website.
