Bird of the Century competition terms and conditions

1. The competition is open to anyone that meets the eligibility criteria set out below and comments on Meridian's Facebook “Bird of the Century” social post from Monday 30 October to 5pm Sunday 12 November 2023.

The Prize:

2. There is one prize pack to give away which includes: up to six limited edition Kākāpō Recovery Programme tee shirts and six blocks of Meridian Whittaker Brooklyn Blocks of chocolate.

3. If any part of the prize is unavailable, Meridian may reserve the right to substitute the prize (or that part of prize) with a prize which Meridian considers to be of equal value and/or specification.

Eligibility:

7. You are only eligible to enter the competition once on Facebook.

8. Each entry will need to be completed via social media on Meridian’s Facebook post. No other forms of entry will be considered.

9. By entering this competition, you agree to these terms and conditions.

10. The competition is open to any person who is (both at the time of entry and at the time the Entry they have submitted is judged) a resident in New Zealand

The draw:

11. The winner will be randomly selected from all the comments received on Meridian’s Facebook post between 10 am Monday 30 October and 5 pm Sunday 12 November 2023 and the winner will be notified on or before Wednesday 15 November 2023, at which time your t-shirt sizes and postal address will be confirmed.

12. Meridian will attempt to contact the winner by private message over Facebook or Instagram. If contact is not made by the winner within 24 hours of Meridian’s private message to the winner, the prize will be deemed to have been forfeited and a redraw will take place.

13. The prize is not transferable, exchangeable, cannot be used in conjunction with any other special offer and cannot be taken as cash. Unused portions of the prize cannot be refunded, exchanged or redeemed for cash.

14. Meridian and the judge’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

15. Meridian reserves the right to use the prize winner’s name and photographs/video footage for publicity purposes without payment or other compensation.

16. Employees of Meridian, their agents and immediate family members are not eligible to enter the prize draw.

17. Meridian, its employees and agents, will not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.

18. Meridian reserves the right to extend, cancel or amend the offer at any time without notice to you. Meridian may also vary this offer at any time by posting revised terms and conditions on our website.

19. When collecting personal information Meridian complies with the Privacy Act 2020. By entering this competition, you agree that we can use your personal information for the purposes of conducting this competition and also to provide you with promotional material about our products and services.
