1. This competition runs from 9 September 2023 until midnight 17 September 2023.
2. To enter to win, Meridian customers who are tagged as an EV driver must comment their favourite thing about their EV and tag a friend who is not an EV driver on the competition Facebook post “[Win this World EV Day]”posted by Meridian.
3. There are three prizes to be won, each prize is:
- A $100 power credit applied to the customer’s Meridian account (Power Credit Prize) and an EV rental for the individual that the customer tagged. The EV rental is up to the value of $350.
4. Eligibility criteria:
- To be eligible for a Power Credit Prize, entrants must be a Meridian customer;
- To be eligible for the EV Prize, entrants must be 18 years of age or older; must hold a current full New Zealand licence; and must meet and comply with the terms of conditions of the EV rental provider.
- Employees and contractors of Meridian Energy Limited (and its subsidiaries) and their immediate families are not eligible to win either the Power Credit Prize or EV Price.
5. Each person may enter the prize draw only once.
6. Competition winners will be randomly selected from all the comments received on Meridian’s competition Facebook post prior to 18 September 2023.
7. Meridian will contact each winner before 22 September 2023. Meridian will attempt to contact the winners by Facebook. If contact is not made by the customer by 25 September 2023, the customer will be deemed to have forfeited their prize and Meridian has the right to choose a replacement winner.
8. By accepting the terms and conditions, in the event that you are one of the three credit winners, you agree to provide to Meridian your Meridian customer account details to receive the power credit.
9. By accepting the terms and conditions entrants are agreeing to be contacted by Meridian in relation to this competition and by commenting, you agree that your comment may to utilised by us as user-generated content in the future.
10. Meridian’s decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
11. The prizes are not transferrable, refundable, or redeemable for cash.
12. By accepting these terms and conditions you accept that if you are the winner of the EV for the weekend you are liable for any damages encountered during this rental period. By entering, you agree to be bound by and comply with these terms and conditions.
13. All entries become the property of Meridian and any incomplete, indecipherable, or illegible entries will be deemed invalid.
14. Meridian reserves the right to extend, cancel or amend the competition at any time. Meridian is not responsible for any third-party acts or omissions. Meridian may also vary this offer at any time by posting revised terms and conditions on our website.
